Avibrant and fun primary school based in Waltham Forest seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent KS2 Teacher to start inJanuary 2025.

The children are hardworking caring inquisitive and imaginative and the staff here aspire to develop wellrounded confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment as a result we are seeking a primary teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.

Responsibilities of a KS2 Teacher

  • As a KS2 Teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key stage 2 promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual childs learning targets encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses
  • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions statistics and geometry
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots characters and settings for stories.
  • Keeping track of childrens progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 students preferably in a similar setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Outstanding classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
