Building Risk Compliance Advisor

Job Summary:
As part of your role you will assist with the delivery of a strategy to manage risks relating to buildings under the responsibility of property services (with particular focus on building maintenance) providing the necessary assurance and evidencing through a structured approach of checking monitoring auditing and reporting.
Ideally you will have a background in commercial building maintenance with statutory and nonstatutory compliance integral to that. You will have experience ensuring that contractors deliver to keep your buildings safe and functional
Key Accountabilities/Duties (Sample):
Undertake monitoring and auditing of scheduled work activities undertaken by contractors relating to the built estate with a focus also on FM hard and soft activities across Property Services.
Utilise the Property Services asset management system (Concerto) within audits to confirm evidence of compliance has been undertaken and saved. (Service records certification task scheduling sign off etc).
Carry out operational reviews on near misses and incidents providing end to end reporting. Coordinate actions and review potential other risks across the built estate.
Identify trends and support Property Teams in finding the cause and solution to these.
Essential Experience and Qualification:
Substantial experience in building maintenance including good knowledge of technical standards.
Good communication skills able to influence and make sound judgements in varied and complex situations.
Membership of relevant professional institute.

This position is located in Winchester Hampshire Flexible working
The role holder is required to travel to various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority and it is essential they have a current drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
