Glhouse Grower-Soft Fruits







The Role
We are working with a highly reputable, award-winning farming enterprise specialising in soft fruit, to recruit a Glasshouse Grower at their beautiful farm in West Sussex.
As a Glasshouse Grower, you will be responsible for all aspects of the growing and monitoring of the crops, delivering yield and productivity targets and increasing yields.
The Job:
- Crop Management & Health: Ensure year-round high-quality crops through effective irrigation, fertilization, and environmental control, while monitoring for pests, diseases, and overall crop health.
- Harvest & Husbandry Planning: Regularly assess crop conditions to plan and execute timely harvests and husbandry tasks, coordinating closely with the Glasshouse Manager.
- Biological & Chemical Control: Oversee biological pest control and assist in creating and implementing spray schedules to protect crop health.
- System Maintenance & Operations Support: Perform maintenance on systems and infrastructure, and support the growing team in various operational tasks.
- Site Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized site to support optimal crop production and overall efficiency.
The Candidate:
-The ideal candidate should possess experience in commercial greenhouse growing, with a preference for soft fruit production.
-English speaking and computer literate
-Strong analytical skills
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays
-UK/EU Driving Licence
The Package:
-Extremely competitive salary DOE
-Company Pension
-33 Days Holiday including bank holidays
