TPRecruitment is supporting a prestigious top 25 firm of chartered accountants located in Steyning Sussex in their search for a dynamic and experienced Audit Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and fastgrowing team where you will manage client audit engagements across a variety of sectors including charities independent schools and ownermanaged businesses handling groups and consolidated accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audits of larger complex clients and address intricate technical audit matters with the audit partner.
  • Apply risk focus professional scepticism and judgment to ensure efficient and robust audits.
  • Identify research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Work closely with and provide proactive support to partners.
  • Manage and prioritise own work and assignments to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Maintain audit quality standards in compliance with Audit Regulations and internal policies.
  • Commit to professional growth through training and experience opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent client service and build strong relationships with clients and third parties.
  • Support the growth and development of the Sussex office.


Requirements

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or Finalist.
  • Minimum 34 years of relevant accountancy practice experience.
  • Significant clientfacing audit experience including group audits.
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and auditing skills.
  • Proficiency in using audit and statutory accounts software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with at least intermediate Excel skills.
  • Highly personable with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish relationships at all levels.
  • Positive can do attitude.
  • Must have own car and full driving license.
