TPF Recruitment the leading accountancy practice recruitment agency in the South East is delighted to represent a distinguished chartered accountancy firm based in Poole Dorset. We are seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Senior for a dynamic general practice role that encompasses accounts tax bookkeeping and VAT.

As an Accounts Senior you will play a pivotal role within the firm handling a broad range of responsibilities and enjoying significant autonomy. This position is ideal for individuals who are qualified partqualified or qualified by experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Statutory Accounts Preparation: Compiling and preparing statutory accounts for a diverse client base.
  • Management Accounts: Assisting in the production of management accounts.
  • Taxation: Managing personal tax corporate tax and VAT returns.
  • Bookkeeping: Performing general bookkeeping duties using software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Mentoring: Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees.


Requirements

  • Qualifications: Studying towards or holding ACCA/ACA qualification or qualified by experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 35 years in a UK accountancy practice with substantial experience in preparing accounts tax returns and managing responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders partnerships and limited companies.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in using accounting software such as Xero QuickBooks Sage and Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.
