At OCU Opals we have a new opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Team in our Peterborough Office. You will support the commercial team to maintain commercial control of direct labour subcontractors plant material consumable and administration costs. As well as supporting project valuation; cost control/management and the validation of progress data to ensure accurate reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Line management of two of our Commercial Assistants
  • Manage our Engineer Retention process
  • Monitor the OCU Opals Commercial Inbox
  • Manage our Recharge process back to field based operatives
  • Commercially manage one of our existing contracts in whole
  • Commercial lead for our Traffic Management division
  • support other contracts where required

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative; enthusiastic with can do attitude
