About the FSSC team:

The mission of Financial Shared Service Centre (FSSC) is to manage all incoming and outgoing cash transactions in a timely, accurate, efficient and controlled manner. The FSSC Lead EMEA will play a key role in the continued development and transformation of the Global FSSC function. They will be the leader responsible for setting up employment reimbursement, accounts payables and/or fixed asset management policies and processes balancing efficiency and risks. We are looking for candidates who are energetic, highly self-driven and who embrace challenges and changes. This is a full-time position based in London covering the EMEA region.


Responsibilities:

- Overseeing the overall operations and set up of the Financial Shared Service Centre in the EMEA region.

- Upgrading the financial system and procedures according to the financial management standards and the requirements of overseas businesses.

- Being familiar with local policies and regulations; establishing a mechanism for quality control; managing risks and providing advice from the perspective of internal controls.

- Responding actively to business demands and assessing whether reasonableness of requests; offer professional advice and support.

- Managing and mentoring the SSC team in EMEA



Requirements


Qualifications:

-8+ years experience in financial management for multinational corporations; candidates with experience in establishing Financial Shared Service Center overseas and/or from internet companies / TMT industries are preferred.

- Practical knowledge of relevant accounting standards in the region; qualified accountants (eg. ACCA / ACA or equivalent qualification) preferred

- Familiarity with local accounting standards and statutory requirements

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a great team player, ability to work well across cultures and with international stakeholders across the region and with head office; willingness and ability to collaborate smoothly with domestic and overseas departments. Fluent in English and Mandarin.



The ideal candidate for this role will have experience leading a high volume and fast-paced shared service centre, driving process efficiency and developing a culture of continuous improvement. Relevant accounting qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) Financial shared services / finance operations experience in a corporate environment, ideally with significant exposure to Internet, Media, Technology/IT industry Significant experience of working in a high volume processing environment experience of establishing a shared services model from scratch would be desirable but not essential Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and delivery in operational excellence Proven team management experience is preferred Clear and logical thinker, strong execution and communication skills Fluent in English and Chinese is essential.
