Job Summary:

To ensure the highest standards of fire safety & provide expert advice

To ensure that Tower Hamlets Homes (THH) meets the requirements of all Fire & Building Safety legislation

To reduce the risk of fire to all housing stock through effective management of fire risk assessments.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

To ensure THH complies with all relevant Fire Safety legislation and BS/EN standards.

Provide expert technical advice on the application and interpretation of fire safety guidance.

To provide a leading role in the development implementation and management of THH Fire Safety Strategy.

To commission and manage the annual programme of Fire Risk Assessments ensuring that all risk assessments are completed in line with contractual requirements.

Essential Experience Required:

Extensive experience of fire safety is essential.

Significant experience in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments Fire Audits and Fire Inspections is essential.

Experience of building surveying or of building construction across a wide range of asset archetypes including high rise buildings is essential.

Experience of managing projects and technical works in housing sector is essential.

Essential Qualification Required:

Formal qualification in Fire Safety/Operations or relevant substantial experience is essential.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 35 hours per week.

The role is hybrid with onsite 3 days per week minimum.

The role requires regular visit assets where necessary across the Borough
