Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director Housing Property and Asset Strategy with a robust background in the following areas:

o Stakeholder Management: Engaging with the Mayor Cabinet Members residents and other key stakeholders.

o Longterm Asset Management Strategy: Aligning with the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).

o Capital Works Programme Delivery: Overseeing the delivery of comprehensive capital works.

o Building and Landlord Safety Compliance: Ensuring safety compliance and reporting.

o Leadership and Cultural Change: Leading staff management and fostering cultural change.

o Reactive Repairs Service Oversight: Managing and improving the reactive repairs service.

Key Duties (Sample):

Deliver a comprehensive asset management strategy for the organisation.

Collaborate with Finance and other internal colleagues to ensure alignment with LBTH s MTFS assumptions.

Act as an intelligent client to develop short and mediumterm capital works delivery plans balancing various priorities including compliance.

Manage and oversee safety works for over 70 highrise blocks and complex building safety requirements considering that over 50% of our residents are leaseholders.

  • Receive a thorough handover from the incumbent leaving at the end of September.

Essential Experience and Qualifications (Sample):

Proven ability to work across functional professional and organisational boundaries including the management and operational leadership of multdisciplinary teams.

A solid understanding of the principles and practice of operational planning and business performance improvement.

Experience of working in a political environment of developing effective and productive working relationships coupled with sound political acumen.
