Business Development Manager - Analytical Chemistry Services







With headquarters in Leicester and a nationwide network of laboratories and offices, offering a wide range of Construction Materials Testing, Surveying and Monitoring services, CTS (a Phenna Group Company) is the go-to partner of choice, supporting all sectors of the construction market including residential, commercial, rail, road, airports, tunnelling, mining and utilities as well as brownfield regeneration
As part of our growth plan, CTS are currently searching for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Environmental Chemistry Division to implement an effective sales strategy that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships and increases external revenue streams.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously, set up appointments to understand client requirements and consultatively promote the high quality UKAS/MCERTS accredited solutions and service delivery offered by CTS.
Objectives of this role
- Develop, execute, and oversee the new business sales strategy
- Maintain positive professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Align sales progress to ensure that KPI's and revenue targets are met
- Operate as the face of the business for external clients
Responsibilities
- Co-ordination with other Phenna Group Infrastructure businesses
- Travel around the UK to promote services to prospective clients and close sales
- Setup of new customers in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Generate and issue quotations matching the clients' specific requirements
- Oversee on boarding and handing over of clients to the operational team
- Accurate recording of current and future pipeline opportunities
- Participate in collaborative business sales meetings
- Provide monthly sales reports and presentations to the CTS Management Team
- Act as a point of escalation/involvement in cash collection dispute resolution
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record of sales growth (preferably in the same or similar TICC market)
- Strong knowledge of sales growth techniques
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Enthusiasm for the company and its growth plans
- Strong negotiation, pricing and networking skills
- Highly developed time management and organisational systems
- Deep understanding of environmental chemistry applications
