The Role

The Voids Planner will be responsible for:

  • Efficiently scheduling works for multiple operatives.
  • Identifying skill levels of trade people and allocating appropriate tasks.
  • Liaising with tenants, stores management, and various teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Providing weekly performance reports to the property services Management.

Tasks

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Clarify availability of trade resources daily and adjust schedules accordingly.
  2. Monitor and adjust work appointments to ensure alignment with trade operatives.
  3. Continuously monitor the dispatching system for timely appointment management.
  4. Plan ahead, ensuring all eventualities are covered.
  5. Liaise with stores management for material availability.
  6. Communicate with property occupants regarding appointment adjustments.
  7. Schedule inspections and dispatch appointments to maintenance supervisors.
  8. Produce detailed performance reports weekly or as directed.
  9. Attend management meetings as required.

Requirements

Person Specification:

Education, Qualifications, and Training:

  • Essential: 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
  • Desirable: BTEC in Business Administration or equivalent.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Essential: Customer-oriented environment experience, knowledge of repairs processes, building maintenance terminology, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM.
  • Desirable: Supervisory experience, administrative and technical experience, previous dispatching and scheduling experience.

Ability and Skills:

  • Essential: Effective communication, organizational skills, flexibility, decision-making, teamwork, report writing, conscientious attitude.
  • Desirable: Understanding of technical issues.

The location will be various void properties in both Corby and Kettering for a 5wk contract. 37hrs per week.
