Job Role
Responsible for the management of the operational team within Johnsons Installation Services and any documentation a job suitable for anyone with a strong sense of organisation and attention to detail.
Supplier and Purchasing
- Agreeing Rates & Capturing cost
- Raising purchase orders following the correct process
- Approval of purchase orders following the correct procedures
- Completing Sub Contractor Labour Monitoring Forms
- Finding new suppliers and reviewing current suppliers
Customer Service Administration
- Responsible for the checking of Work Information Sheet before issuing and on receipt
- Responsible for ensuring Carton Deposits are received
Reporting
- Completing of accruals for review
Sales
- Advising of availability and suggested pricing of resources
- Offering advice on delivery of products
Operational Management
- Coordination of day to day activities
- Assigning appropriate resources
- Seeking operational efficiencies through effective resource management
- Confirming start times and details of work with clients and operatives
- Completing briefings and debriefings with operatives
- Liaising with warehouse operatives to coordinates any associated activities
People Management
- Ensure that all employees are trained to deliver the best service in the safest most efficient way
- Develop employees so that the resource meets the requirements of the business
- Develop and lead the team to work together and support each other
- Performance management of the team with regular quality supervision and twiceyearly assessments
- Deal with all employment relations within the branch referring to HR where necessary
- Champion the company s policies and procedures and promote compliance
- Ensure that all reportees understand and deliver excellent customer service
Additional Roles
- Maintaining constant observation of all vehicles ensuring all comply with transport legislation.
- Be responsible for the team you supervise and monitor all driving hours making sure all colleagues follow company rules and legislation and that all crews are briefed and debriefed before and after each installation.
- Communicate between clients and removal crews to confirm time frames and to assign teams of the specified quantity and quality.
- Coordinate with the Brand Leader to ensure the branch is run in the most efficient and profitable way.
Role and Responsibilities
- You must be an excellent communicator and will be experienced in managing people.
- You must be able to motivate a team and promote team working.
- Responsible for the daily operations diary allocating resources briefing the team members for their daily activities booking external resources/labour issuing equipment.
- Responsible for Health & Safety and compliance collecting daily defect sheets daily equipment checklists weekly tachograph submissions ensuring all PPE is correct and adequate training provided.
- "Operations Procedure" making sure timesheets are completed correctly and checked monitoring hours to ensure compliance with our legal obligations.
- Responsibility for ensuring maximum operating profitability in line with company budgets.
- Support the businesses business development and client management efforts as required.
- Work closely with all clients and conduct customer visits both before and after completion of the installation to ensure exceptional quality of service and implement service improvements where opportunities arise in the future.
- Support all branch administration duties and customer interface.
Requirements
Preferred Skills / Qualities
- Excellent knowledge of the sector and be able to demonstrate your understanding of procedures and legal requirements.
- Proficient IT skills and a CPC qualification at a National Level is preferred.
- Experience in planning work schedules. Being numerate is a very important skill requirement of operations management.
- Due to the large extent of required contact with clients and colleagues have strong communications skills together with strong leadership and management skills to efficiently run a successful team.
- You must also be able to problem solve using your own initiative as Operations Management within Installations can face some unusual day to day challenges.
- Be able to work flexible and support operational teams where necessary.
Additional Notes
The role will involve some travel nationwide and may involve occasional overnight stays in lodgings.
