.Your responsibilities

This is a busy depot-based role. You will be responsible for Maintaining our traffic signal fleet and associated other components. Testing and maintenance of cables are essential and a significant role in this position. This role requires a keen eye for detail and meticulous records management. Whilst primarily based in the workshop, you will be required to assist commissioning engineers on-site as and when required. You will also be tasked with collecting / Delivering stock to our depot network. You will need to maintain minimum stock levels and take pride in your work.

  • Test and repair traffic signals, Cables, Controllers, and other related equipment
  • Maintaining good records of all repairs undertaken
  • PAT testing
  • Collecting / Delivering equipment to other depots
  • Assisting commissioning engineers on site as and when required
  • Assistance with CCTV enquiries from police and customers
  • Liaising with regional managers on equipment delivery and allocation
  • Upgrading the firmware in all equipment
  • Assisting with remote support
  • Technical support
  • Maintaining depot housekeeping standards

Your main responsibilities are delivering stock to the site and collecting stock as required. You will be issued with an appropriate company vehicle, fuel card, etc. When you are not delivering or collecting stock, you will be assisting the test and repair team in the depot at Coventry. This can be a responsive role, which means you have to be prepared for your plans to change. Whilst in general duties will be planned in advance, timings may change at short notice. You must be flexible and willing to adapt to the company's needs.

Working hours

You will be working Monday - Friday 8 am till 5 pm, however, you will be required to work the occasional weekend or night shift. You will be based from the Coventry depot however, you will be expected to travel all across the UK to different sites. While traveling to different sites, all expenses are paid for you. The rota will be given to you a week in advance so that you will be able to plan your route.

Salary and Benefits

The salary starts at 22,000 annually, however, this is only for 3 months, once the training has been completed you will have the opportunity to earn 26,000 annually. If you work outside of your scheduled hours, you can earn more money. You would be given a company van as well as a fuel card, and all your PPE is paid for you.

Experience and Qualifications

  • You need a full UK driving license (B&E would be an advantage)
  • Experience in Long distance delivery driving
  • An electrical background is an advantage
  • You must be flexible, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment, and plans can change
