Day Shift Silo Operative
The Role
The successful applicant will form part of a team which carries out the day to day operation of silos and flat stores based at Belfast Harbour.
The ideal candidate would have experience of working in an automated animal feed store and/or have experience of bulk material handling in this area.
The role will be a permanent position.

It would be desirable but not essential that the successful applicant will hold the appropriate licences and have experience of loading grain box type trailers using a 5tonne bucket capacity front loader shovel such as a CAT950 or Volvo L120 etc.

Requirement to operate tripper to discharge commodity into store bays.

Requirement to work on Floor 2 loading trucks.

Requirement to work on Silo floor 9/10 assisting with ship discharge and also keeping good focus on housekeeping in all areas. Also perform daily checks on new equipment installed on ninth floor.
Day Shift Hours of Work:
Hours of work would normally be day shift as rostered between the hours of 6.00 am and 7.00 pm Monday to Friday. This will be based upon a 39hr working week with some overtime required.
The successful candidate will
- Be willing to work weekends as required.
- Understand that they will undertake other duties and tasks across the site as requested by management.
Salary for the Day Position:
£528.49 per week (Based upon 39hrs per week)Annual Salary: £27481.48 per annum.
Additional Benefit: On top of the above there will be additional payments of two week’s basic pay three times per year payable on or around April July and December. (Equating to £3170.94 paid in addition to the above annual salary).Overtime will be paid at a fixed rate of £22.62280 per hour.
