Warehouse Foreman







Are you an experienced Warehouse Foreman within the removals industry; looking for a new role in a company with nearly 150 years of experience within the logistics and removals sector
Daily Tasks
Organising the warehouse making sure the warehouse is tidy and safe
Operating and moving the forklifts and daily checks on the forklifts for defects
Maintaining warehouse management system
Collating a daily defect report and informing the Operations Manager of the defects
Issuing PPE/Uniforms and registering items
Daily Equipment checks
Ensuring vehicles are delivered for service in line with bookings
Be responsible for promote and lead on Health and Safety in the Warehouse and the surrounding work area.
Assist with the site housekeeping
Deal with deliveries to the site
Act as a driver porter as and when required by the business
Weekly and Monthly tasks
Update equipment service planner
Oversee the booking of plant and equipment inspections
Monitor the return of vehicle and equipment service sheets
Complete weekly workplace inspections
Sign off corrective actions on defect sheets
Complete checks for hazards and correct issues
Complete packing comparison checks
Complete AED checks
Manage the waste on site
Ensure Tyre inspections are being completed
Requirements
Experience as a warehouse operative/foreman
Fork Lift Truck licence is essential (Counterbalance & Reach truck)
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvements
Strong Organisation skills
Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
Strong decision making and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication skills
Qualification in logistics supply chain management is desirable
Driving Licence is essential
Containerised Storage Experience Preferred
Additional: The role may involve some travel nationwide and may involve overnight stays.
