Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team
  • Train and support both team members and clients
  • Work alongside the Director, looking at new technologies and systems to enhance efficiencies
  • Liaise with senior personnel across the group
  • Review bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
  • Review year end packs to be passed to accounts and audit team
  • Assist with ensuring that deadlines and time budgets are met
  • Complete and review VAT compliance including registration, de-registration, option to tax, VAT enquiries and investigation (In your role you will also work with the group VAT specialist who will be able to advise and direct on more complex areas of VAT)
  • Develop and maintain good client relations
  • Assist and advise clients with their accounting systems, which can include designing accounting processes and internal controls
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet clients expectations


Requirements

  • Positive, dynamic team leader with supervisory experience
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or QBE
  • Previous proven book-keeping and management accountancy experience
  • Extensive VAT knowledge
  • Numerate and analytical with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel, Xero, Sage 50
  • Proven knowledge of working with and improving processes and systems


Benefits

45,000 - 55,000 dependent on experience and background, A highly competitive benefits package is also on
