We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and contract supervision of electrical building services on a range of complex and highly technical projects. These projects span various sectors including residential commercial retail sports/leisure hotels industrial mission critical storage/archive and healthcare.
Your role will involve managing your workload efficiently producing highquality designs specifications and reports. You will also be expected to represent the company in meetings with other professionals such as architects structural engineers project managers and quantity surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual and detailed electrical design solutions that meet client briefs.
- Carry out detailed electrical services design and calculations using design software such as Amtech Hevacomp IES Relux Dialux or similar tools.
- Conduct technical and quality reviews of project information to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Produce electrical specifications schedules reports and technical papers.
- Assist in the preparation of fee submissions and project bids.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
- Provide specialist technical advice and guidance at both project and group levels.
- Conduct feasibility studies condition reports dilapidation surveys and preacquisition inspections.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Revit MEP and BIM360.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- HNC/Degree in Building Services Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Working toward Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
- Membership in professional institutions such as CIBSE or IET is highly desirable.
- Registration with the Engineering Council is preferred.
Experience & Skills:
- Proficient in producing detailed electrical design solutions
- Experienced in managing M&E design projects.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations Design Standards and Guides.
- Proficiency in design software such as Amtech Hevacomp/IES AutoCAD Revit and Microsoft Office.
