Contracts Manager - Subsidence







The Client
Our client works in conjunction with some of the UK s leading insurers and brokers to ensure that critical subsidence and site investigation work is completed to the highest standards across residential and commercial properties. They are market-leading experts that utilise key technology to analyse, prevent and repair subsidence and underground water and drainage problems on behalf of the insurer.
The Role
The role is to ensure that work is completed on time, to the required standard and to negotiate cash settlements within budget. Observing Health & Safety at all time, you will support a wide variety of projects, and you will be the point of contact for our clients, engineers as well as other stakeholders.
The Responsibilities
- Maintain scheduling of repairs in line with our philosophies and repair strategy
- Plan and conduct pre-contract meetings
- Ensure H&S and CDM obligations are met by all parties including carrying out H&S site audits
- Perform validation of variations in accordance with our procedures to an acceptable standard
- Manage and report on claims during the repair phase to the required Company standard
- Record reportable incidents following Company guidelines
- Identification and vetting of new contractors to support operational continuity
- Conduct contractor audits, (suitability, competence etc) to the required Company standard
- Update all relevant information on our database in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor effective cost management throughout repair phase, utilising Symbility tool
- Provide support for engineering, upskilling to the engineering role when required
The Requirements

- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry (perils, hazards, loss assessors, loss adjusters, underwriters intermediaries, actuaries, NHBC etc)
- Clear communication skills
- Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills
- Can evaluate facts and recommend decisions
- Good time management, able to juggle priorities to meet deadlines; can work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Attention to detail coupled with a continual improvement approach
- Able to influence and obtain agreement where required
- Strong computer literacy skills, able to effectively use of a variety of ICT platforms and applications.
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team.
