This is a remote position.
Our client has acquired two new companies and wants to replace the IT/OT infrastructure at all the sites. They are short on resource to install and configure the equipment.
The consultants will be working in the customer project teams. This team normally works on internal projects and does include 2nd and 3rd line support tasks, next to the project work.
Daily work for the resources will be to work on tickets raised in the customers systems and will be routed to the consultant from the local customer team
The consultants will be working in the customer networking team. The customer will provide plans for the activities to be performed.
This team normally works on internal projects and does include 2nd and 3rd line support tasks, next to the project work. Think here about applying network changes, changes Infrastructure components. Migration of elements from existing infrastructure to a new one
For some sites this mean migration activities out of hours or weekends, dependent on the site.
The duration for the engagement is 12 months. This will leave time for ramp up and knowledge transfer to the consultants. The customer project manager and tech teamwork from remote location but in close collaboration with the onsite consultant.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
- Strong ability to consult decisions that are in alignment with project and organizational goals
- Possess advance-level knowledge of a wide breadth of network infrastructure technologies to include, but not limited to L2 Switching, L3 routing (static & dynamic protocols), (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, end to end QOS, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, MC-LAG, EVPN with VXLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling. Networks firewall services including IPSEC VPN, URL filtering, and IDS/IPS. Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, Netflow, IPAM, RADIUS, Splunk, network taps, and load/stress testing. Wireless standards and connectivity, Datacenter networking principles, Load balancing, Appgate, ClearPass, Automation, Micro Segmentation and Gateway firewalls
