Associate Scientist Lab Operations

CK Group are recruiting for a Lab Technician to join a company in the Clinical Research industry working on site in Livingston, on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

Location:
This Lab Technician role is based on site in Livingston, West Lothian.


Lab Technician Role:

• Responsible for performing & documenting analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs & regulatory guidelines.
• Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations &that the results are within acceptable tolerances.
• Prepares data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff.
• Assists in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution.
• Assists in the review and update of laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Performs and document calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.

Your Background:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.).
• Previous working experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
• Proficiency with routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.
• Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
