Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary - 38,000 to 45,000

We re excited to be supporting a leading design and manufacturer of incinerators, cremators & ancillary equipment. They operate within the UK, but also have clients worldwide.
Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating concept design and to turn corporate research into technical plans, coming up with creative approaches for new designs together with improving existing design, equipment or products. You will also have a sound understanding of design solutions and produce 3D models and detailed drawings adhering to engineering principles and drawing standards.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Create drawings necessary for prototyping
- Maintain and update drawing systems
- Initiate, direct and support engineering projects
- Conduct self-driven research and development projects and keep up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry at a national and international level
- Complete and thoroughly document new designs
Experiences required
- A bachelors degree in mechanical or relevant qualification in engineering
- Advanced skills in 3D CAD modelling in SolidWorks with knowledge of PDM or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
