Mid Level Mechanical Engineer
Salary - 30,000 to 45,000 DOE

We re working with an innovative and sustainable packaging company who design and develop packaging that is easily recyclable supporting the reduction in our carbon footprint. They continue to develop new products for the market and are due to launch a new range.
With continued growth due to ongoing success, they are now looking for an ambitious and motivated Mid Level Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team. The successful candidate will report to the Product Director. You will be responsible for your own projects and should be environmentally conscious and wish to be involved in machine design from concept to production.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Create 3D SolidWorks models of both individual components as well as complete virtual machine assemblies
- Take on the role as principal designer on standalone equipment or stations within a larger production machine
- Work shoulder to shoulder with electrical and controls engineers to realise their solutions
- Create detailed tolerance engineering drawings of components to be sent out for manufacture
- Understand FEA and calculate forces to guarantee mechanisms perform their duties dependably
- Analyse and troubleshoot prototype machine designs
- Collect data for improvements and progression to refine later iterations of production machines
- Research new methods, practices, and materials to drive innovation within the team
Experiences required
- Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Understanding of Finite Element Analysis using (Abaqus/Ansys/SolidWorks Simulation)
- A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience
- Understanding of machine build standards and good practice
