Job Title: MET Stripper / Fitter

Location: Derby, DE21 6HB

Salary: 27,560 ( 13.25 per hour) + time saved bonus + overtime + benefits

Full Time and Permanent 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.30am-

5.00pm + Every Other Saturday 8.30am-12.30pm (Saturday s are paid as overtime at time and a half)

They are actively looking to recruit for an MET Stripper / Fitter for their dealership in Derby, DE21 6HB.

What will you be doing?

Main responsibilities for the role include:

  • Repairing vehicles and diagnosing their faults
  • Carrying out all work to the highest standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Replacing components, parts, lubricant and consumables and always recording usage.
  • Recognising and reporting on vehicle and component serviceability with an emphasis on customer and public safety.
  • Understanding and implementing technical service instruction data and improved working practices.
  • Working in a manner consistent with Health and Safety procedures.


Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Bodyshop environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to their duties.
  • Ability to produce work to a high quality standard.
  • Basic Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
  • An awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • A strong, team player mentality.
  • Some flexibility to working overtime as and when required.
  • An MET qualification and experience completing wheel alignments would be an advantage for this role.
