Our client is an ever-expanding engineering and utility service provider across the UK. With offices located in the South-East and Midlands, they work on some of the largest construction and civil engineering projects in the UK.
The Role
Our client is currently recruiting for surveyors for their ever-expanding team in Stafford to work across various sites. If you are looking for your next challenge or just need a change, then this is a great opportunity to work in a growing team.
The Responsibilities
- Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GNSS and laser scanners
- Setting out for different trades in construction
- Establishing survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing and other land surveying work.
- Resolve any unexpected site issues and resolve with help from the team and management as required.
- Accurately and consistently record surveying information on site to the agreed specification and scope
- Process data from the field into the office, post processing with software, such as N4ce and AutoCAD
- Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to our client s expectations.
- Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
- Checking the quality of information collected on site, and the successful transition to deliverables.
- Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.
- Deliver to company policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
- Working with the Project Manager to assist with quoting for jobs
- Any other duties as required by the business.
Requirements
- Install control networks and process them using precise levelling, Total Station and GNSS survey techniques.
- Undertake land, topographical, measured building, set out survey works
- Undertake point cloud surveys and be able to register and coordinate federated point clouds
- Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with clients
- Has a full driver s licence and CSCS card
- Right to work in the UK
- Experienced in using N4ce, AutoCAD, Revit, Leica Cyclone and Leica field equipment.

Able to complete topographical and boundary surveys to a high standard Previous experience working as a Land Surveyor Be able to use and complete surveys in the field using GPS Competent in setting-out by co-ordinates Demonstrate a good working knowledge of AutoCAD Maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard Consistently deliver high quality work on time and in budget Supervise trainee surveyors and provide training when required Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team Confident and clear communicator both written and verbal Professional manner with excellent client facing skills Full UK driving licence Right to work in the UK
