Trilogic Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client to recruit for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Our client is an mechanical and electrical design and installation company. They provide a wide range of high quality Mechanical and Electrical services solutions to private and public sectors across a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
They offer a complete design, installation and management turnkey package as well as design only and construction only.
Some of the services include project management, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineering Services.
Monday to Friday work.
Salary: 45,000- 50,000
Requirements
The successful candidate
- Ideally be a chartered or HND/HNC building services design engineer with post qualifying experience in the UK construction industry designing HVAC systems from concept to delivery
- Can take project ownership whilst under support of the project Director and work both on their own and as part of a wide multi-discipline team
- hold experience across various sectors including commercial, distribution, retail and residential would be a benefit
- Experience in project delivery from design feasibility to commissioning undertaking all aspects including surveying, full design process, meeting attendance, site inspections.
- Have a general understanding of other MEP disciplines, BREEAM and Sustainability.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to build internal and external relationships and trust.
- Competent with Word, Excel, as minimum AutoCad, Revit would be an advantage. Design software Hevacomp, Openbuildings or similar.
- Presentable and well-spoken English language in that you will attend Design Team Meetings and will be Client facing.
- A strong understanding of Part L and Low carbon engineering.

Experience and Qualifications Experience of using Autodesk Revit for MEP. With the ability to work autonomously in the software. Experience of working to project specific BEP s. Knowledge of utilising the BIM process. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to query design and provide constructive comments to both internal team members and external design team members at meetings. Excellent organisational skills Using Navisworks or Solibri to run automated Clash detection (desirable) Experience of working to BSRIA BG/6 (desirable) Education: 5 GCSE s at grade C or Higher. (Maths & Sciences B) + some work experience or A Levels/ BTEC in related subject
