pstrongJoin us were an Investors in People Gold Standard CompanystrongbrppWe have a month fixed term contract for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team at Ground ControlppYou will play a pivotal role in our Infrastructure (rail road and water sectors) Fencing civils work arboriculture landscape and ecology projects You will be responsible for managing costs and ensuring financial efficiency throughout all phases of our projects Your expertise will contribute to the success of our company and the satisfaction of our clientsbrppKey Responsibilitiespul liPrepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projectsli liSupport tendering process by preparing estimates and tender documents li liDevelop and manage project budgets monitoring costs and making recommendations for cost savingsli liAdminister contracts and manage contractual relationships with contractors and suppliersli liEvaluate subcontractor bids and make recommendations for the selection of the most costeffective optionsli liProvide ongoing cost analysis reporting and forecasting to project stakeholdersli liReview and manage project variations claims and change ordersli liAssess and manage project risks related to cost and financial aspectsli liCollaborate with contract managers site managers site supervisors engineers and other team members to ensure projects are executed within financial parametersli liEnsure compliance with all relevant laws regulations and industry standardsli liOffer professional advice and support to the project team on financial mattersli liPromote sustainable and costeffective construction practicesliulpThis is a hybrid role so you are able to work from home some of the timebut having access to one of ouroffices in either Billericay Essex Aldgate London or Leeds would be usefulppQualificationspul liBachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related fieldli liProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (ideally within our servicessectors)li liProficiency in cost estimation budget management and contract administrationli liStrong knowledge of construction materials methods and industry standardsli liExcellent analytical and problemsolving skillsli liEffective communication and interpersonal skillsli liProficiency in constructionrelated software and toolsli liKnowledge of sustainable construction practices is a plusli liProfessional certification (eg RICS AACE) is desirable but not mandatoryliulpstrongWhat we offerstrongbrppAt Ground Control we believe in creating an inspirational environment and rewarding our employees for their hard work We offer a wideranging benefits program supporting you to realise your full potential and are proud to be recognised as a great place to workppAwards Accolades and CulturepulliWe have been awarded worldclass status for employee engagement in the best companies results ranking at #
