Full-Time Deputy Manager

Fulbourn Village, Cambridge

Salary c 27,000

37 hours per week

We would like to appoint a part- or fully-qualified deputy manager to help lead a small and dedicated team of care workers.

They support, nurture and enable a man in his mid 30s who, despite having complex needs including sensory impairment and limiting learning disabilities - enjoys a high level of independent living.

The setting is a purpose-built and fully adapted bungalow set in its own gardens next to his parents house in a quiet corner of Fulbourn village, just 15 minutes drive from the centre of Cambridge. It s a great place to work!

You will provide day-to-day care and share responsibilities with the manager for arranging shifts and standby and call-out rotas; supervising assessments; undertaking a range of operational, financial and administrative functions; and liaising with social services and health care providers.

You will also help him enjoy life to the full, meaning this role is not just about high standards of care but facilitating his social life and activities, and helping join in his daily fun! This includes swimming, attending college, days out, holidays and new adventures.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

You will need to have several years of experience supporting adults with complex needs, and ideally a minimum NVQ L3 in Health and Social Care, and a willingness to work towards level 4 and 5.

Benefits

Fulbourn has the benefit of a reliable bus service, but the requirement to work shifts means that you will probably need your own independent means of getting to work. We ask too that you have a full driving licence so that you can drive our own minibus. Free on-site parking is available.
