We are currently seeking an 1st Line Technician for a leading technology service department. You will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the service desk offering phone, remote, and on-site support to schools and business.
Requirements
As a IT Technician, you will be tasked with the following:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Provide a high degree of customer service for all support issues, on-site or remotely
- Visiting customer s sites on a regular basis, acting as the first point of contact for technical support issue
The key things we re looking for from our IT Technician:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX operating systems
- Strong knowledge of key Windows Server Management tools - AD / GPO / DHCP / DNS
- At least one year experience in a technical support role
- Practical experience with internet and network security protocols
