We have a lovely parttime role available for a caring reliable and down to earth support worker in the Worcester area.
Our client is a 45 year old gentleman who has memory problems and epilepsy resulting from a brain injury. Although he has retained his sense of humour and love for comedy sitcoms music and football he needs support with prompts and reminders with everyday tasks. He is seeking a proactive support worker to enable him to be more independent and achieve his potential.
This role is for 14 hours a week over 3 days which would include alternate Sundays 10:30am to 3pm. You should be flexible to cover sickness and holidays when needed.
This role would include supporting with attending appointments and shopping trips general help around the home and helping our client to keep his diary upto date so he has all information he needs to remind him of things. You will also help to order and organise his medication so you need to be proactive and have a sense of maturity.
No personal care is involved in this role. Drivers are not essential however if you do drive our client has a motability vehicle that you will use.

Requirements
Training is provided specific to this client to CQC standards and includes the following:
- Induction Training
- Safeguarding Adults
- First Aid

- Mental Health / OCD
Essential Requirements Identified for this Role please ensure you meet the following:
- A good level of education is needed
- Good communication skills
- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a personcentred way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the clients needs
- Respect Company policies and procedures
