We re looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with Secondary learners withinLincoln. The candidate will be responsible for educating them on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. Ideally, the candidate should be a responsible, gentle and well-trained professional who can provide exceptional support with minimal supervision whilst following the guidanceof the class teacher. The goal is to support the learners development by providing high quality additional support.
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant. Excellent knowledge of National Curriculum. Excellent knowledge of learning methods and teaching procedures. In-depth knowledge of key Curriculum benchmarks and willingness to follow them at all times. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible and compassionate. Outstanding organisational and multi-tasking skills. Patient with excellent problem-solving skills. B.Sc or other diploma from a teaching program. A valid Enhanced DBS.
- Monitor students learning in line with IEPs and targets/benchmarks and assess their needs to provide the best possible intervention.
- Observe and interpret students knowledgeand understanding and keep the class teacher up to date.
- Collaborate with teachers and Senior Leaders to devise individualised learning plans for students.
- Perform routine interventions(numeracy, literacy, science) and fill in gaps in the students s knowledge.
