About the Role:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Design Technology department aligning with the schools overall vision and educational goals.
• Oversee the quality of teaching learning and assessment within the department.
• Develop and implement a stimulating and challenging Design Technology curriculum that incorporates the latest advancements in design education.
• Lead the recruitment development and performance management of Design Technology teaching staff.
• Manage the departments budget effectively to ensure adequate resources for delivering highquality teaching and learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity innovation and practical skills development.
• Represent the department at school leadership meetings and contribute to wider school initiatives.

• A highly qualified and experienced Design Technology teacher with a proven track record of leadership success.
• A deep understanding of the National Curriculum for Design Technology and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
