We are looking for an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Maths to join our dedicated Maths department and play a key role in shaping the future of mathematics education at our school.

About the Role:

We are seeking an inspirational and highly motivated Lead Practitioner of Maths to lead and develop our Maths department. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising attainment a passion for mathematics and a commitment to developing innovative teaching practices. You will have the vision and leadership skills to inspire colleagues and drive the department forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the Maths department including curriculum development assessment and staff development
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning in Maths
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to colleagues in the Maths department
  • Leading initiatives to raise attainment in Maths across the school
  • Modelling outstanding teaching practice and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • Contributing to the wider school improvement agenda

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A strong academic background in Mathematics
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths
  • Proven experience of successfully leading and managing a team
  • A track record of raising attainment in Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in teaching and learning
  • A passion for the performing arts and an understanding of how Maths can contribute to students creative development
