pstrongJob PurposestrongbrppTo originate structure execute and manage new and existing commercial real estate transactions as well as support Senior Relationship Managers in complex transactions to support the successful delivery of business opportunities in line with budget risk appetite risk return measures policies procedures regulations and strategy The Banks real estate business involves complex and high value transactions (m m) covering all sectors of the real estate market working directly with UK and international real estate companies ppThe role involves both the underwriting of new transactions and the distribution of assets as well as the management of relationships at a senior level The job holder will be required to build and maintain relationships with corporate CEOs CFOs and other senior executives at large UKbased and international real estate developers and investment funds as well as predominantly MENAbased UHNWIs and family offices and they will have their own network of both clients and real estate professionals (lawyers project monitors valuers etc) to call upon as requiredstrongstrongbrstrongstrongbrppstrongResponsibilities Accountabilities & DeliverablesstrongpulliOriginate structure and develop new business in line with allocated revenue objectives with a focus on large corporate commercial real estate transactions between mm and mm and where necessary support Senior Relationship Managers in progressing complex transactions particularly those in excess of mm where Group thresholds require loan distribution andor syndicationliululliManage new facilities from origination to closing liaising with all parties including external professional advisers lawyers intermediaries banks valuers and working through internal processes including inhouse legal risk management dept loans administration and transaction management control providing relevant internal advice to ensure understanding between external and internal stakeholdersliululliOriginate develop and maintain close and active relationships with external stakeholders including prospective and existing clients (and their advisors and agents) counterparts banks lawyers consultants regulatory bodies and other agencies to grow and diversify Wholesale bankings client base with prompt interventions to limit risk deterioration and restructuring of debt where necessary to achieve thisliululliOriginate and execute crossselling and crossnetwork business opportunities providing support and developing relationships with coverage and product specialists to deepen relationships across all products and deliver more cross border businessliululliDevelop and implement active portfolio management establishing more profitable relationships with Real Estate clients in order to optimize portfolio performance in line with all policies procedures standards processes and regulationsliululliDevelop and maintain Real Estate products including the required platform and any necessary documentation to provide leading edge products that meet the needs of customers and comply with regulatory requirementsliululliPrepare credit applications and review existing facilities to identify any special situations requiring additional review analyze and spread corporate accounts including financial institutionsbrliululliTake responsibility for overseeing the administration of booked transactions including credit reviews ongoing analysis of market conditions periodic compliance reviews and general account and facility operationliululliWork liaise and manage relationships with cofunding banks on very high value syndicated and club transactions including negotiating terms and legal documentationliululliFamiliarity with regulatory compliance matters money laundering and know your customer proceduresliululliRaise the intra Group visibility and positive perception of the Department by assisting other areas of the ABC Group to understand asset risk dynamics through professional presentations andor expert witness reviews of special casesliululliContribute to the performance of Real Estate business providing support and assistance on Group projects where required and working collaboratively with colleagues across Bank ABC to deliver profitable business in the most efficient effective consistent and compliant
