An award winning and established rapidly growing Patent firm is seeking a Patent Attorney.The firm is continuing to develop at a rapid rate within the firm and are looking for talented professionals.

The Patent Attorney will cover the following areas:

Main Responsibilities
  • Obtaining, enforcing and challenging patents on behalf of clients.
  • Participate in due diligence projects required for investment in innovative start-ups or in preparation for a product launch.
  • Draft, file and prosecute patent applications.
  • Assess and advise clients on liabilities, legal restrictions, and risks of IP rights.
  • Attending client, counsel and expert meetings and participating as appropriate



Requirements

You will be comfortable working in a modern, fast-paced environment where you are given a level of autonomy to do your work.

Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Qualified or part qualified patent attorney.
  • An appropriate professional attitude (personable, well prepared, flexible and enthusiastic)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely, and the ability to structure a precise and coherent argument
  • Ability to balance knowledge of intellectual property law against commercial requirements
  • Meticulous attention to detail, and an analytical mind
  • Initiative and the ability to act independently
  • Ideally experience in biotechnology and/or related life science topics.
