MACHINE OPERATIVE

Our client based in the Feltham area are looking for a Machine Operative on a permanent or Temporary to Permanent basis. The Client is one of the UK s leading Architectural Metalwork and Structural Steelworks specialist.

Machine Operative The Offer
45 hour week
07:30 to 17:00 30 minute unpaid lunch break
Hourly rate ranging from 13.00 to 17.50 per hour PAYE depending on experience ( 30k to 40k)

Machine Operative The Role
Our Client is looking for someone who is practical keen to learn and has a proven machining background. You will be working with general architectural metals on designs such as Handrails and Balustrades Balconies Stairs and Feature Metalwork.

Machines used to name just a few:

Bending

Linishing

Guillotine / Cutting

CNC Milling / Turning operate only more manual

Drop and Drill

Machine Operative The Person

Experience with using hand tools to achieve a high standard of finish

Previous experience from either handheld Grinding Deburring and dressing welds or Metal finishing

Experience working with Stainless Steel and Tubing

Ability to read technical drawings and to work off them if required

Previous experience with the above machines is essential with the understanding that you will rotate between different areas in the workshop and be trained on how this company manages work orders

A good eye for detail is required for working on intricate bespoke projects

Manual handling experience Able to lift heavy weights is essential

A keen enthusiastic and positive attitude

Ability to work to a consistently high standard whilst meeting deadlines

Be able to work as part of a team

Using initiative when working alone and unsupervised

Flexibility to carry out other tasks when requested by managers or supervisors
