Daily Rate: 400 to 500 per day
Contract Type: 68 Week Assignment in London
Schedule: 6 days per week 24 hours per day and 4 hours of daily break

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maternity Nurse to provide exceptional care for a newborn in London. This shortterm assignment (68 weeks) involves a schedule of 6 days per week 24 hours per day with a 4hour break each day. This role is crucial in supporting the family during the early stages of their baby s development ensuring the wellbeing of both the newborn and the mother.

Key Responsibilities:

Newborn Care:

  • Roundtheclock care: Provide comprehensive care for the newborn including feeding (bottle or breastfeeding support) bathing diaper changes and dressing.
  • Health monitoring: Observe and document changes in the baby s behavior feeding or sleep patterns and communicate any concerns to parents or medical professionals. Administer prescribed medications or supplements as needed.
  • Developmental tracking: Track the baby s growth and developmental milestones keeping detailed records of feeding sleep patterns and progress.
  • Routine establishment: Implement a structured routine for feeding sleeping and general care adjusting as needed to support the baby s health. Introduce gentle sleep training techniques if required.
  • Safety and hygiene: Ensure a safe clean environment for the baby including regular sterilization of bottles feeding equipment and toys.

Postnatal Care for the Mother:

  • Physical recovery support: Assist the mother during postpartum recovery by offering physical support light exercises and nutritional guidance. Monitor her emotional wellbeing ensuring a positive supportive environment.
  • Breastfeeding and feeding support: Provide guidance on breastfeeding techniques and assist with formula feeding ensuring proper preparation and feeding schedules.
  • Rest and recuperation: Support the mother in obtaining adequate rest by taking over baby care during night shifts or as needed for uninterrupted sleep.

Early Childhood Care and Development:

  • Developmental stimulation: Engage the baby in activities that promote sensory and cognitive development such as tummy time interactive play and early reading. Introduce music visual and tactile stimuli to encourage growth.
  • Parental guidance: Provide parents with advice on newborn and early childhood development sharing tools and knowledge to aid the baby s growth.


Requirements

Key Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare with the ability to manage daily routines and organize activities.
  • Personality: Warm patient and nurturing with a proactive and creative approach to childcare.
  • Relevant Education: Relevant educational credentials in child development are preferred.
  • Certifications: First Aid certification and any additional relevant childcare qualifications are preferred.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to adapt to highprofile lifestyles while respecting family boundaries and cultural differences.
  • Language Skills: Strong communication skills with an excellent command of the English language.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and environments as required by the family s lifestyle.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness and ability to travel with the family as needed.
