Distressed Debt Analyst (based in London, between 100k and 150k depending on experience)

The Distressed Debt Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's distressed debt trading and advisory activities. This individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and valuation of distressed debt instruments, including corporate bonds, bank loans, NPLs, and other illiquid securities.

Here's what you'll be doing:
- Conduct comprehensive research on distressed debt markets, including trends, pricing, and regulatory developments
- Monitor and assess credit events, bankruptcy proceedings, and other key developments affecting distressed securities
- Build and maintain financial models to value distressed debt and illiquid securities
- Assist in the structuring and negotiation of transactions, including the analysis of covenant packages and recovery scenarios
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in distressed debt, high-yield credit analysis, or related fields
- Proven experience in financial modelling, valuation, and market research within distressed or illiquid markets
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modelling software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and contribute to group initiatives
- Competitive salary between 100k and 150k depending on experience
