expert advice to operational teams Support the medical direction of cases in partnership with the Medical Operations teams in all operating locationsliliTo deliver an ethos of patient safety first whilst ensuring appropriate cost controls are maintainedliliTo work in partnership with operational teams to support validation of insurance coverage terms and conditions through medical review including but not limited to past medical history hospital admission reports ongoing medical reports and declared conditions liliTo effectively work as part of a team of medical professionals including doctors and nurses (internalexternal)liliTo support the Chief Medical Officer in the provision of medical and clinical governance control across all medical operation functions and locationsliulpstrongstrongKey ResponsibilitiesstrongstrongpulliContribute clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to nonmedical teamsliliPerform administrative duties and risk managementliliEnsure the highest standards in patient care are maintainedliliVerify complex medical reports and reviewing treatment plansliliKeep informed on the latest medical advancements in the field liliEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standardsliliAs part of a rota provide medical related advice and information on cases across all service centrescases and ensuring case records are fully updatedliliEnsure patients receive appropriate timely and necessary medical treatment at all timesliliSupport a oncall medical serviceliliEnsure cost containment and support insurance validation through medical input and work in partnership with operational teams to deliver safe and fair customer outcomesliliProvide expert advice and give medical recommendations in relation to transportation of patients including evacuations and repatriations liliRespond to complaints in collaboration with operational legal and complaint management teams where medical input is required retaining full ownership where applicableliliSupporting the medical development of operational teamsliliUndertake repatriations as required and where appropriate to meet with local agents to inspect and validate the credentials of the hospitalsliliAs part of the medical team you will have a shared responsibility for the sign off and credentialing of all hospitals agents and AirGround providers for NetworkliliTo attend and support internal and external client meetings as required including new business tendersliulpstrongKnowledge skills and experience requiredstrongpulliFull medical registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practiceliliAdvanced ability to ensure the highest standards in patient care and compliance with healthcare regulationsliliExperience of medical assistance services within the insurance claims arena (preferable)liliSpecialist qualification in anaesthetics ITU general practice or A&E desirable (or European equivalent) with some additional experience in general medicalgeneral practiceliliAviation medicine qualification highly desirableliliInflight medicine experienceliliFluency in a supndsup European
