Focusing on the high-pressure pumping sector, this equipment company works with a wide range of industries from Automotive to Offshore energy.

They have a 40+ years of reputation producing high quality and reliability. high pressure pumps for companies like JLR, BP, Shell to name a few.

Currently they have a role within their Design team for a Senior Design Engineer working on either the Oil and Gas sector, or their industrial sector like Automotive.

You ll be working closely with the Projects Team, Designing, detailing and components specifications and support on a technical level. Making sure the nuances of the projects are liaised across the teams, shop floor at all stages of your involvement.

Obviously like you are probably doing now, highlight issues, solving problems, following the standard procedure of the company comes hand in hand with this job (all in the job spec), but this company really like people that can - Think out-side of the box with the view of incorporating new emerging technologies and ideas into the projects and ranges of products this company produces.


Requirements

  • You ll need to be a Qualified Mechanical Engineer (HNC or Degree), that has a good solid design background in things like Hydraulics or electro mechanical Control systems, rotating parts machinery? (power ranges around 30kw to 500kw)
  • Definitely you will need experience of working on manufacturing projects which incorporate heavy equipment.
  • Good Technical knowledge of pumping systems and/or package-build equipment using motors and diesel engines.
  • Solid Edge or similar 3D design software
