About the role
AFC Fylde Women seek to appoint a part-time Goalkeeping Coach role working 10 hours per week. The Goalkeeping Coach is responsible for planning, delivering and supporting the management team on match days.
Main Duties (but not limited to)
- Responsible for the development of all AFC Fylde Women FC goalkeepers.
- To create and implement a goalkeeper specific training program that suits the philosophy of the club.
- To work closely with our Match Analyst to analyse and review performances.
- To continuously monitor the progress of AFC Fylde Women goalkeepers through regular meetings, individual objectives, and reflections via video analysis.
- To deliver professional and high-quality goalkeeping sessions inclusive of set-piece sessions to the first team squad.
- To work closely with the First Team Manager and other coaching staff.
- To create a successful, elite culture that maximises the talent of each individual goalkeeper.
- Attendance at all First Team training and Fixtures.
- Build relations with other local clubs to identify loan opportunities to ensure that all goalkeepers get appropriate and adequate game time to be able to fully develop.
- Identify new goalkeeping talent to ensure high quality goalkeeper recruitment and progression through the first team squad.
- Build positive relations with the FA, County FA and key England International staff.
About you
Qualifications
- UEFA A/B Licence GK coaching (B licence as a minimum).
- FA Safeguarding and Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF).
- DBS Clearance.
Experience
- Experience of working with elite female goalkeepers and experience of developing young players.
- Understanding of high performance football and the ability to create optimum development environments for players.
- Proven experience of designing successful football development programs for elite goalkeepers.
- Be flexible to the dynamic nature of the football environment.
- To be a positive advocate and role model for the development of women s football at an elite level.
