Transition Lead - Contract (inside IR35)







Transition Lead Contract remote with occasional travel to London
The Service Transition Lead is responsible for leading the delivery of all technology service transition activities from the multiyear SHIFT transformation programme into live operation for all technical services.
This is an important role that will lead the Service Transition of legacy services into the Dynamics 365 platform, as well as new Dynamics 365 services, ensuring that key project deliverables are met, and transition into BAU is successful with minimal impact to the Business and supporting teams.
The role defines and checks the criteria that services must meet prior to go-live to ensure they are of sufficient quality to be managed and operated long term. Set out control gates and manage agreed checklists the role leads go, no-no decisions to ensure the live operations teams have acceptable systems to work with along with the skills and capabilities to support them.
Reporting into the Change and Service Transition manager they ensure that Service Transition process and governance is adhered too, following best practice standards such as ITIL.
Key Responsibilities
Lead service transition within the SHIFT programme
Work with Key stakeholders
Identify key deliverables from the programme
Define and build the operational readiness criteria
Lead service transition workshops and go no-go meetings to agreed outcomes
Build service design models for processes such as incident, problem, change and service request
Work with third party suppliers on support processes
Assess skills gaps and organise technical training and coaching opportunities
Deliver and build an overarching service transition plan which supporting Agile methodology
Manage all risks and mitigations related to service transition
Report on service transition status throughout lifecycle of programme
Collaborate across the programme to ensure service transition effectiveness
Perform any other duties that support these responsibilities

Requirements
- Solid understanding of complex technical environments and the technologies used in a large organisation
- Proven experience of maintaining strong and effective relationships with customers, stakeholders and peers
- Coordinating work across multi-functional teams
- Experience of co-ordinating technology service transition within similar scale organisations for enterprise scale projects
- ITIL Change Management Experience
- Agile Methodology

- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and identify and prioritise in a changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Further education qualifications such as A-Levels or diploma
- ITIL Foundation certificate
Desirable
Degree in computing or related subject
ITILPractitioner certificate
Working within and developing a mature service management methodology
Creation of technology policies and procedures
Management of technology risk
Experience of working in technology in a NFP or healthcare organisation
Experience of service transition of cloud technologies such as D365
Ability to deliver internal department process change and improve working practise
