Legal practice manager / business manager







Cranfield Clarke have a new opportunity for an experienced Legal practice manager to support a large authority in London. This is a flexible, interesting role, combining the very best of business, finance, legal practice and teamwork.
Role purpose
To work closely with the Head of Legal services to provide leadership and direction to the legal services team. You will ensure that performance is monitored and an efficient level of service is provided to the lawyers and client departments. To combine the responsibilities of a finance manager and legal practice manager. You will play a major part in assisting with the strategic planning and implementation of the legal team s business objectives as well as providing support to the client departments. You will be responsible for having an all-encompassing view of the business to ensure clients receive a seamless service.
Main duties
You will take the lead in providing management data to inform, managing relationships with clients and suppliers, driving efficiencies through procurement agreements and ensuring effective compliance with Quality Standards and regulatory requirements. Reporting to and working alongside the Director of Law & Governance you will provide support and direction through managing data, client relationships, and coordinating and advising on procurement contracts complying with Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in budget management, management of external spend/contracts such as external lawyers.
- Financial law, procurement and contracts law experience. Recruitment and risk management. Including all the budget/finance/H&S and HR processes are running smoothly.
- This role would suit a legal professional with financial experience or equally a business manager with an awareness of legal obligations necessary for running a busy public service or practice.
- You need to be available for work in central London. Some remote working can be offered. Managerial skills could be an advantage for this role.
