Lead Environment Artist







You are an experienced Lead Environment Artist with a solid understanding of Unreal Engine and its art pipeline requirements. You bring to the table a proven understanding of modular environment production with a keen sense of composition. You ll oversee, mentor, and assist in growing the Environment Art team to fulfil project requirements under the guidance of the Art Director. As Lead Environment Artist you effortlessly navigate and communicate across cross-functional teams to create exciting and immersive worlds.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Create multiple assets for Interiors, Urban and Landscape areas
- Coordinate and participate in world building and assembly processes
- Assist in hiring and mentoring the Environment Art team
- Take ownership of Environment Art roadmap
- Plan and assign tasks to your team as required
- Work closely with Art, Design, and Writing, to uphold Creative Direction
- Work closely with the Tech and Tech Art Team to create and automate processes
- Create guides and kitbash collections
- Ensure asset quality and timeliness of Environment Art Team deliverables
- Assist in managing outsource relations, planning, and quality assurance
- Create appropriate processes documentation when required
- Contribute to the creative process
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Confident in mentoring environmental artists
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5
- Familiarity with Blueprints in the context of Environment Art placement and related Gameplay Logic
- Basic knowledge of Unreal Lighting
- Knowledge of 3d/2d modelling software and modern asset creation pipelines
- Good sense of composition and keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable and accomplished at working with remote teams.
- Familiar with Agile practices
