The Role:

As an experienced AV Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to a home automation client base.

  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of AV systems
  • Conducting unscheduled visits as needed for emergency situations.
  • Maintaining a strong client-facing role to ensure that all communication is effective and focused on client experience.
  • Providing after-hours support as needed, according to the on-call rota.
  • Collaborating with the Service Manager to produce timely and accurate reports, while keeping clients up-to-date on site statuses.
  • Working with technical support departments from suppliers to progress RMA's and repairs, if necessary.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during project planning

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an AV Service Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of AV systems and technology (Crestron/Crestron Home and Control4)
  • Familiar with remote management tools
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation
  • Confident communicator with demonstrable customer service skills
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Additional Information:

  • This a field based role with client sites typically based in and around London, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • Company van included
  • All expenses covered
  • 29 days annual leave including Bank Holidays (and your birthday)
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
