Technical Sales Engineer







Careersolve are working with a well-established Engineering company based in Cramlington. As they are consistently growing, they are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.
My client offers:
Salary - 30,000 to 38,000 DOE
Plus Bonus, Company Car, Laptop and Phone
Pension Scheme
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, full time
The Technical Sales Engineer will Lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions, based out of Cramlington, to liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer:
- Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships
- Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Report to the Group Operations Director/UK GM on sales activities using local network reports and CRM
- Forecast and track key account metrics
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations
- Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
- Monitor and analyse customers usage of our product
- Liaise between the customer and internal teams
- Support, direct and advise all Quality staff and provide direction to production and other support functions.
- Participate in department 5s program.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
- You may be required in the performance of duties or training to travel to such place or places in the United Kingdom or abroad, as the Employer reasonably requires
Skills, Experience and Knowledge Required of the Technical Sales Engineer:
- A bachelors degree in engineering is preferable and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Prior experience of dealing with refineries and power utilities is a must for the position.
- Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing skills
- Must have proven team-working skills across all levels.
- Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure departmental and business objectives and deadlines are met whilst ensuring the integrity of the Company.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required to convey issues to customers, your management, and employees alike.
- PC literate: Expert knowledge of spreadsheets and reporting computer systems is essential.
- All-round appreciation and understanding of Information Technology including hardware, software, and networking arrangements.
