Careersolve are proud to be working with working with a well-established manufacturing company who are based in Bishop Auckland who are part of a global organisation. They are currently looking for a Key Account Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
Home Based role please expect up to 2 nights away from home whilst visiting customers

The main focus of the role of the Key Account Manager:
Effectively manage and achieve sales growth
Maximise all potential opportunities
Define and action effective account development plans
The Principal Elements of the Key Account Manager are:
To achieve set sales budget targets
Driving SKU profitability, promotional profitability and overall account profitability
Delivering incremental sales through new product listings, promotions plans, secondary locations etc.
Ongoing identification of new business
To own an account plan that drives strategy for a rolling 3 year period
To ensure account contracts are legally binding and up to date
Skills and experience required of the Key Account Manager are:
Maturity and experience to manage at national account level, involving the handling of senior account relationships
Intelligent thinker, strategic planner, focussed and priority driven
Excellent personal negotiation/selling skills
Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
Excellent presentation, negotiation and selling skills
Effective communicator both internal and external
Analytical
Ability to make sound commercial decisions
Ability to think strategically
An understanding of marketing principles and an ability to understand and interpret market analysis
