Our client is looking for an organised and detailoriented parttime semiskilled Welder / parttime Assembly Technician / Production Operative to work on manufacturing industrial sensors to join our client.
Alongside this role which we expect to fill 23 days per week there are other functions within our manufacturing area that you may become involved with as follows:
Officebased parttime at the Maidenhead office. 3 full days or / 24 hours spread out over 4 or 5 days; would suit someone looking for parttime perhaps school hours or afternoons only.
What you will need
- The main function will involve metalwork fabrication for our madetoorder sensors.
- The ability to work with small components.
- Machine shop experience of using manual machines such as lathes and pillar drills would be an advantage.
- Some experience of electromechanical assembly would also be an advantage but full training will be provided.
- As the products are bespoke and made to order you must possess excellent attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.
- Cutting and preparing stainless steel tubes.
- Drilling of metal fittings using a lathe.
- Cleaning parts in preparation for welding.
- TiG welding of tubes and fabrications using our semiautomatic welding lathe.
- Silver soldering.
- Polishing and finishing work to a high standard.
- Inspection and quality control.
- Wire and cable preparation.
- Fine wire welding.
- Soldering.
Parttime permanent position.
