HR Generalist







Sophisticated Recruitment are working with a well know investment manager who are seeking to recruit an experienced HR Generalist on a permanent basis with a hybrid work pattern. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and be able to commute to the offices near St Pauls in London (twice per week). This is a permanent position and requires candidates to have prior HR experience within an FCA regulated Financial Services firm.
Job Responsibilities
Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conduct / acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Review, track and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar function
Must have strong regulatory knowledge and experience
Working knowledge of relevant FCA regulations, including TC, SYSC, COBs, APER and FIT
Experience looking after T&C s and L&D
CIPD level 5 (Desirable)
