Key Purpose of the Job
The role of the Business AnalystProject Support Officer is associated with the modelling and visual representation of business processes in order to deliver bespoke pieces of work within a project.
Working with key business process owners, your role is to lead process improvement/To-Be process efforts. You will do this by developing a consistent set of documented processes that are used by our customer facing departments and capture and analyse areas for improvement.
You will work as part of the project team that is delivering projects to ensure any new solution is aligned with our processes, business rules and IT systems. This role may also lead to delivering smaller bespoke projects within the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing agreed documentation standards and ownership of all processes and creating a process framework and culture within the organisation
Documenting all business processes, ensuring they are relevant, accurate, correctly detailed, updated as necessary and organised in a consistent manner
Analysing the As-Is core business processes, workflows and business rules
- Working closely with the business to ensure supporting systems can support the To-Be processes. Where necessary designing processes to best use the functionality of the supporting IT solutions
Identifying possible problem areas and assisting in the resolution of minor process issues
Reviewing and updating processes, with the Subject Matter Expert, as required
Assisting with the creation of Standard Operating Procedures
Hands on project support
Ability to take the Lead on smaller projectsbespoke pieces of work, by creating project plans and taking a hands-on approach in their delivery

Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable previous experience with process modelling and analysis
- Proven experience of process modelling, including requirements analysis, workflow and process analysis, using workshops, team and one-to-one discussions
- Able to apply knowledge of system functionality to support processes
- Proven experience of leading on bespoke pieces of worksmaller projects
- Proven experience of working within project teams and environments, using Prince 2 methodology, MS Project and Visio tools
- Experience in improving organisational processes (lean systems thinking) (desirable)
- Successful management and delivery of small projects (desirable)
Person Specification
Knowledge
- Business process modelling and analysis tools and techniques
- Strong understanding of organisational processes and data along with strong knowledge of different approaches to service delivery is key (desirable)

- Able to organise the ideas and thoughts of others into a logical set of steps and processes
- Ability to identify areas where changes to processes and supporting systems would deliver business benefit

Other Requirements
While predominately a Monday to Friday role, there is a need to work occasional weekends or evenings, as project deadlines require
