We re looking to recruit a Food Technology teacher who can provide day-to-day teaching support to a Nottingham secondary school. To ensure smooth GCSE lessons which enrich and engage learners. Candidates applying for the role should be QTS trained in Food technology and must perform multiple tasks for different year groups and ability ranges. Minimum of over 3 years teaching experience is a with GCSE Food Technology and understanding of what Outstanding Teaching means is valued highly. Ideally, the candidate should be able to both administer daily teaching activities and innovative classroom ideas to improve our clients students learning. The candidate should drive lesson development to our client by being an essential part of the Design Technology team.


  • Prepare, lessons and relevant resources and documents.

  • Lead engaging lessons.

  • Update internal student tracking databases with student performance information.

  • Coordinate meetings, liaise with the head of department and parents where needed.

  • Collaborate with internal staffing teams to ensure proper pre-and post-teaching lesson analysis is conducted.

  • Communicate feedback to Head of Department, Senior Leadership and Parents.

  • Create detailed analysis reports of results.

  • Help create lesson planning materials (e.g. presentations,videos etc).




Requirements


  • Proven Food Technology teaching experience or similar role.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office in particular).
  • Hands-on experience with any GCSE teaching curriculum.
  • Experience with reporting and student data analysis.
  • Organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • PGCE or B Ed Hons, Food Technology or any other relevant field.
